FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: Rock'n'Roll Legend Tommy James Appearing ONE NIGHT ONLY At SopranosCon
Website: http://www.sopranoscon.com NEW YORK, NY (November 11, 2019): Rock'n'roll singer, songwriter, and producer Tommy James — whose hits dominated the charts in the 1960s, including "Crimson and Clover" and "I Think We're Alone Now" — has announced that he will appear, for one night only at SopranosCon, which will take place November 23rd and 24th at the Meadowlands Exposition Center in Secaucus, NJ. James will appear on November 23rd to sign copies of his book, Me, The Mob, and The Music. "Tommy James is not just a rock'n'roll legend, he's got an interesting connection to The Sopranos," said Michael Mota, co-founder of SopranosCon and the CEO and owner of the Skyline at Waterplace in Providence, RI. "Many people don't know this, but the character of Hesh, as played by Jerry Adler, was modeled after Morris Levy, Tommy James' manager and the co-star of his autobiography, Me, The Mob, and the Music. I fully believe that not only will fans of the show enjoy hearing this bit of Sopranos trivia and history, but will delight in hearing about Tommy James' tales of rock'n'roll lore. We are thrilled to have Tommy James at SopranosCon, and we trust that fans of the show — and of rock'n'roll — will delight in his book." What started as an idea between three Sopranos fans on social media morphed into SopranosCon, a two-day, fully experiential convention unlike any before, or since, its inception. Visually inspired by the Feast of St. Eleazar and with more than 50 original cast members in attendance, SopranosCon will be a fully immersive fan experience that will feature everything from food, games, and fan art, to exclusive Q&As and a chance to meet Tony Sopranos' beloved Pie-O-My. With features in over 150 publications, television shows, and radio shows worldwide, SopranosCon has been featured in The New York Post, NBC, Time Out New York, Food & Wine, Brooklyn Vegan, Mental Floss, and more. SopranosCon is sponsored by East Coast Commerce Solutions, Premio Sausages, Famous Signs of Long Island, and Rainmaker Capital, and has media partnerships with WCBS-FM 101.1 and SB Nation Radio. A limited number of ticket packages are available at www.sopranoscon.com -- this event is projected to sell out, so get your tickets now!
